Q&A
FAQ
Is it okay to only have a consultation and counseling during the first visit?
-
Yes, the consultation and counseling during your first visit are free of charge. If there is availability on the day of your visit, treatment can also be performed on the same day.
What type of anesthesia is used during treatment?
-
A spray-type anesthetic is applied to the back of the throat. The anesthesia takes effect within a few minutes.
Is installment payment available?
-
Installment payments are available through our clinic's medical loan service. (Please note that a loan installment fee will apply when using the loan service.)
Can I use a deferred (pay-later) payment service?
-
Our clinic offers a deferred payment service, so you can begin treatment even if you don't have your payment method with you on the day.
Payment can then be made later, using a convenience-store payment, e-payment, or another method that's convenient for you.
*There is an upper limit of ¥110,000 (tax included) for use of the deferred payment service.
*This service is available at the Shinjuku, Ginza, Osaka-Umeda, Kyoto, and Fukuoka-Tenjin clinics.
For more details, please feel free to ask our staff when you visit.
Is there really no downtime after treatment?
-
Yes, please rest assured that there is virtually no downtime — you will even be able to eat and drink after the treatment. Some patients report a scratchy sensation in the throat, but this typically settles down by the following day.
Who will be in charge of my treatment?
-
Please rest assured that your treatment will be performed by our clinic's doctors or nurses.
What is Snoring Laser Treatment?
-
This is a treatment method that irradiates the uvula and surrounding areas to contract them, widening the airway and reducing the vibration of the soft tissue that causes snoring.
Is it covered by insurance?
-
Snoring treatment at our clinic is provided as private (out-of-pocket) medical care; however, as it is eligible for medical expense deductions when filing your annual tax return, the actual amount you pay can be reduced.
